An “Endowed Professorship” is among the highest honours bestowed upon prominent academics at HKBU in recognition of their accomplishments and in support of their academic and research activities. The Endowed Professorships Scheme aims at recruiting and retaining the world’s top scholars, thereby strengthening our research capacity and contributing to society through knowledge transfer. We cordially invite you to join hands with the University and support the establishment of Endowed Professorships for a discipline of your choice:

•  An Endowed Professorship is created with a minimum donation of HK$10 million. With an endowed gift, the University will establish an endowment fund and each year the disposable income generated will be used to support the Endowed Professors for academic and research activities.
•  The University shall work and discuss with the donor on the title of the Endowed Professorship according to the donor’s wish and follow the normal policy in recruiting the right candidate for the Professorship.
•  A ceremony will be held in honour of the donor and the professor appointed. The donor will be kept abreast of the latest developments of the named professor’s scholarly activities and researches with regular updates on the use of fund.
