HKBU receives support from Philip K.H. Wong Foundation and Jiangyin Tianjiang Pharmaceutical Industry to give free Chinese Medicine Influenza Prevention Remedy to the needy

 On behalf of the Philip K.H. Wong Foundation, Mrs. Gertrude Wong and Dr. Kennedy Wong presented a cheque to Professor Bian Zhaoxiang, Associate Vice-President (Chinese Medicine Development)


The University received further donations and support from several organisations and individuals, supporting the School of Chinese Medicine in distributing free Chinese Medicine Influenza Prevention Remedy to frontline healthcare workers or people in need. The Philip K.H. Wong Foundation; Mrs. Lee Ser Siu Hung, wife of the late Mr. Lee Siu Lun; and Mr. Po Yang Chung, SBS, OBE, JP, made generous donations respectively to support this meaningful initiative, while Jiangyin Tianjiang Pharmaceutical Industry Co. Ltd. donated 2,000 doses of herbal medicine packs, helping the needy to enhance their immunity against viral infection.

Since February, the University had collaborated with several organisations in distributing herbal remedy to elders aged 65 or above, patients with chronic illnesses, residents of elderly care homes, families receiving Comprehensive Social Security Assistance and frontline healthcare workers.
