Professor Ping-kong Alexander Wai, President and Vice-Chancellor, recently hosted a lunch for Mr. Billy Hung and Mrs. Elizabeth Hung Wong of Hung Hin Shiu Charitable Foundation Limited at Shiu Pong Hall, to express our deepest gratitude to them and their family for their staunch support over the past five decades. They were joined by Professor Rick Wong, Interim Provost; Dr. Albert Chau, Vice-President (Teaching and Learning); Professor Johnny Poon, Associate Vice-President (Interdisciplinary Research) and Dr. Hung Hin Shiu Endowed Professor in Music; Professor Eva Man, Director of the Academy of Film; Professor Leung Mee Ping and Mr. Kingsley Ng, Professor and Assistant Professor respectively of the Academy of Visual Arts; and Mrs. Lily Chan, Director of University Advancement and Secretary-General of the HKBU Foundation. During the lunch, they also exchanged views on the University’s new strategic directions and its new initiatives in the field of arts and culture.
