HKBU receives donation from HKEX Foundation to set up two scholarships

HKEX Foundation Limited has donated HK$100,000 to the University to establish two scholarships: The HKEX Foundation Scholarship will be granted to student studying in the fields of business and finance; whilst the HKEX Foundation Scholarship for Biotechnology and Innovation will be awarded to candidate demonstrating achievement or potential in the area of biotechnology and innovation.  

Two scholarships of HK$50,000 each will be awarded to an outstanding full-time Year 2 to Year 4 undergraduate student from Applied Biology - Biotechnology Concentration or Business Administration Concentration respectively in the 2021/22 academic year. The scholarships aim to develop home-grown talent in the fields of business, finance, biotechnology, and innovation.

Established in 2020, HKEX Foundation Limited is a charity registered under section 88 of the Inland Revenue Ordinance that aims to bring about positive change in the communities in which HKEX operates, and it supports community projects that help address social and environmental challenges.
