Lee Shau Kee Communication and Visual Arts Building Commons now open

The Lee Shau Kei Communication and Visual Arts Building, which was named after Dr. The Honorable Lee Shau Kee, GBM, in 2020 in recognition of his tremendous contribution to the University’s strategic development, in particular its Creative Media and Practice Research Cluster, has opened a new common area “Café@CVA Commons” located in G03 at G/F in January 2022.
Occupying an area of 80 square metres with about 30 seats, the CVA Commons is for both staff and students, serving as a space for group discussions, reading, self-studying or a short break in a relaxing atmosphere.
Since its opening in 2010, the Building has supported the teaching and research activities of the School of Communication and the Academy of Visual Arts with a wealth of state-of-the-art facilities to groom the next generation of professionals in the creative industries. Thanks to the generous donation of HK$100 million by Dr. Lee through the Lee Shau Kee Foundation in 2019, the Building had seen its facilities further enhanced.
