The HKBU Foundation records with deepest sorrow the passing of Mr. Lam Lou, Director of the Inner Mongolia Xinganmeng Education & Economic Development Association, Honorary Director of the HKBU Foundation, on 15 March 2022.

Mr. Lam was a graduate of HKBU and the former Superintendent of Correctional Services of the Hong Kong Correctional Services Department. He was dedicated to serving the society and promoting moral education for the young generation. As a representative of the Inner Mongolia Xinganmeng Education & Economic Development Association, he connected the Association with the University in providing a donation for the establishment of scholarships for students from Inner Mongolia to receive whole person education at HKBU. Mr. Lam maintained a close relationship with his alma mater throughout his lifetime, providing valuable advice on various student exchange initiatives and internship programmes.

The Foundation conveys its heartfelt condolences to Mr. Lam’s family at this time of bereavement. He will always be remembered for his zealous support for the University's development.
