HKBU received a generous donation of HK$260,000 from Professor Siu Wai Sum, Professor Emeritus of HKBU, for the establishment of “Prof. Siu Wai Sum Benevolent Fund” in support of the Noontime Worship Ministry and strategic development of the Chaplain’s Office.

Professor Siu Wai Sum is also an Honorary Director of the HKBU Foundation. After serving the Department of Marketing in the School of Business for 31 years, he was conferred the title of Professor Emeritus in 2021. Before his retirement, he kindly set up a fund in support of the Chaplain’s Office, hoping to continue the mission of the Campus Ministry and foster a deeper understanding of Christianity among members of the University community.

Rev. Tse Hung, Chaplain of HKBU, thanked Professor Siu for his benevolence, “The Chaplain’s Office depends very much on the support and donations from individuals and organisations. To enable a more sustainable development of the Campus Ministry, I sincerely hope that more people will consider setting up perpetual funds to generate a more stable source of revenue for the Chaplain’s Office.”
