The University recently received a generous donation of HK$250,000 from Dr. Pato Wong for establishing the “Dr. Pato Wong Scholarship” to recognise and reward students with outstanding academic performance. Starting from the academic year 2022-2023, a grant of HK$5,000 each will be awarded annually to two eligible Year 2 or above full-time undergraduate students.

Dr. Wong paid a visit to the University on 17 June for signing the scholarship agreement, during which he met with Mrs. Lily Chan, Director of University Advancement and Secretary-General of the HKBU Foundation, to learn about the latest developments of the University and explore more funding opportunities to support the University.

Dr. Wong hopes the scholarship will allow students to focus on their studies and help them attain all-round development, with the ultimate goal of helping them build a career in the future and contribute to society.
