The Federation of Hong Kong Chiu Chow Community Organizations hosted the “Celebratory Party for the 73rd Anniversary of the Founding of the People’s Republic of China” at Island Shangri-La Hotel on 27 September 2022. Dr. the Hon. Bunny Chan, GBM, GBS, JP, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Federation; Dr. the Hon. Peter Lam, GBM, GBS, President of the supervisory Board of the Federation; The Hon. John Lee, GBM, SBS, PDSM, PMSM, Chief Executive of the HKSAR and other honourable guests officiated at the ceremony. A number of the HKBU Foundation members attended the event. They included Dr. Dennis Ng, SBS, MH; Dr. Wong Shu Yui; Dr. Lam Tai Fai, GBS, JP; and Ms. Chan Oi Ching, SBS, JP. The event was well attended by around 400 dignitaries and honourable guests.
