CEOs Positive Ageing Learners Programme 2022-23 kicks off

The Providence Foundation’s Community Engagement Organisers: Positive Ageing Learners Programme (CEOs-PAL) of the Undergraduate Halls celebrated its 2nd anniversary with a Welcome Ceremony on 8 October 2022. Sponsored by Providence Foundation Limited, the programme recruited 45 students and 28 elderly this year. The cross-generation Buddy Team will work together to serve, support and show care to the elderly in need and at the same time promote positive ageing and intergenerational learning through actions.

Mr. Gary Chong, Manager of the Providence Foundation Limited; Professor Henry Fock, Director of Student Affairs of HKBU; Ms. Catherine Wan, Director of Association for Engineering and Medical Volunteer Services; and representative of Ho Ping Neighbourhood Centre for Senior Citizens (Sik Sik Yuen) officiated the ceremony, witnessed the music and games sessions hosted by HKBU’s alumnus and student ambassadors respectively.
