A delegation from the Greater Bay Area Union, led by its Chairman Dr. Peter Song, paid a visit to the University on 11 November 2022. The guests also included Ms. Karen Cheung, Mr. Donald Man, and Mr. Victor Chui, Executive Vice Chairmen; Mr. Kevin Ng, Vice Chairman of the Union and Member of the Young Entrepreneur Committee of the HKBU Foundation; and Ms. Evana Zhang, Secretary-General.

The delegation met with Professor Alexander Wai, JP, President and Vice-Chancellor, and was briefed on the University’s latest developments and explored the possibilities for future collaboration. They were also joined by HKBU representatives including Dr. Albert Chau, Vice-President (Teaching and Learning); Professor Terence Lau, Interim Chief Innovation Officer; Mrs. Lily Chan, Director of University Advancement and Secretary-General of the HKBU Foundation; and Professor Henry Fock, Director of Student Affairs.  

The delegation then visited the School of Chinese Medicine, and they were warmly received by Professor Bian Zhaoxiang, MH, Associate Vice-President (Chinese Medicine Development); Professor Lyu Aiping, Dean of Chinese Medicine; and Dr. Liu Jing, Coordinator of the Dr. & Mrs. Hung Hin Shiu Museum of Chinese Medicine. During the visit, the featured research facilities of the School of Chinese Medicine were showcased.
