The University recently received a generous donation of HK$500,000 from Mr. Alex Dong Choi Chi, Chairman of the Dong Foundation, to set up an endowment fund for the establishment of the “Dong Foundation Young Talent Scholarship”. Starting from the academic year 2023-24, the Scholarship will be awarded annually either in the amount of HK$20,000 for one Year 2 or above undergraduate students in the School of Creative Arts, or in the amount of HK$10,000 each for two eligible students.

Mr. Dong, who is also Chairman of the Yeah Yeah Group, has extensive experience in the cultural and creative industries. Through the donation, he hopes to recognise and encourage outstanding students while contributing to the advancement of the industries by helping HKBU nurture a new generation of creative arts talent.
