The “HKBU．ASHWORTH Golf Day 2022” was held on 4 November 2022 at the Eden Course of The Hong Kong Golf Club in Fanling with resounding success. The event raised a total of HK$2.25 million for the University’s strategic development, particularly the six interdisciplinary research laboratories, Project SEED (Student Engagement, Enrichment and Development), as well as the provision of scholarships for needy students to pursue further studies or participate in overseas exchange activities. 

Presided by the Co-Chairman Dr. Ronald Lu, the Organising Committee held its third meeting on 6 January 2023 to review the event and to plan for the next Golf Day. Members were pleased to learn that the Golf Day 2022 successfully attracted more golfers to join, thereby enabling the University to extend its support base. This year marks the 20th anniversary of the Golf Day and the event will take place on 3 November 2023 at The Hong Kong Golf Club Fanling again. Members put forward various suggestions for further enhancement of the event, hoping to attract more supporters and friends to join this special occasion, and raise more funds for the University. As one of the signature fundraising and fellowship events of the University, the annual Golf Day has raised over HK$23 million over the past 19 years.
