Five members of the HKBU Foundation were appointed by the HKSAR Government as Members of the Commission on Poverty (CoP) and its Task Force with effect from 1 January 2023 to 30 June 2024.

Ms. Grace H.W. Yu, Honorary Court Member of HKBU and Executive Director of Greater China of Credit Suisse AG Hong Kong Branch, was appointed as Non-official Member of CoP and Member of the Community Care Fund (CCF) Task Force .

Ms. Christina Maisenne Lee, JP, Member of the Young Entrepreneur Committee of the HKBU Foundation and Director of Wofoo Social Enterprises, was re-appointed as Non-official Member of CoP and Member of the Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Fund (SIE Fund) Task Force .

Mr. Kevin G. Orr, Member of the Young Entrepreneur Committee of the HKBU Foundation, Group Vice President and Chief Investment Officer of Winner Medical Group.; and Ms. Cecilia Ho Chung Chee, President of the Lee Hysan Foundation, Honorary President of the HKBU Foundation, were re-appointed as Co-opted Members of the (SIE Fund) Task Force .

Mr. James Li Tsz Shu, Executive Director of the Tencent Charity Foundation, Honorary Permanent President of the HKBU Foundation, was appointed as Non-official Member of CoP, Member of the SIEF Task Force and the  CCF Task Force .
