Mr. Alan Chan, Member of the Young Entrepreneur Committee of the HKBU Foundation and Executive Director of the Tiger Enterprise Corporation, celebrated his wedding on 25 February 2023. The wedding banquet was well attended by distinguished guests and friends of the Chan family.

Members of the HKBU Foundation and representatives of the University were present to extend their warmest congratulations to the newly-wed couple. They included Dr. Herman Hu, SBS, JP, Honorary Director of the Foundation; Dr. Clement Chen, GBS, JP, Chairman of the Council and the Court; Ir Professor Paul Poon, Deputy Chairman of the Council and the Court; Ms. Rosanna Choi, Treasurer of the Council and the Court; Professor Alexander Wai, JP, President and Vice-Chancellor;  Ms. Christine Chow, Vice-President (Administration) and Secretary; Professor Bian Zhaoxiang, MH, Associate Vice-President (Chinese Medicine Development); Professor Lyu Aiping, Dean of Chinese Medicine; Mrs. Lily Chan, Director of University Advancement and Secretary-General of the HKBU Foundation and Professor Henry Fock, Director of Student Affairs.

Mr. Chan, together with his father, Mr. Anthony Chan, Honorary Permanent President of the HKBU Foundation and Chairman of the Chan Hon Yin Couple Charity Trust, and his sister, Ms. Donna Chan, Executive Director of the Tiger Enterprise Corporation, his grandmother, Mrs. Chan Wu Suet Fong and his uncle, Mr. Tommy Chan were long-standing supporters of the University who have provided unswerving support towards HKBU over the years.
