Dr. Tan Siu Lin, SBS, Chairman of the Tan Siu Lin Foundation, Honorary Permanent President of the HKBU Foundation, was recently named among the Most Charitable Individuals in the first Fujian Charity Award organised by the Fujian Provincial People’s Government, in recognition of his significant contributions to the public welfare and charity sector in the province.

Dr. Tan is also the Founder and Honorary Life Chairman of the Luen Thai Group. He is a renowned philanthropist with a strong commitment to supporting charitable causes in Hong Kong and Mainland China, especially in the areas of poverty alleviation, healthcare, as well as cultural and educational development. A staunch supporter of HKBU, Dr. Tan has made generous donations towards the University in support of the development of the School of Chinese Medicine and the Department of History through the Tan Siu Lin Foundation and the Sun Yat-sen Education and Charity Foundation.
