As the ties between Hong Kong and the Mainland become closer and stronger, HKBU is committed to providing students with the opportunities to gain a deeper understanding of the latest development and opportunities for future development on the Mainland, in particular the Greater Bay Area (GBA). It is hoped that students’ future competitiveness can be further enhanced, so that they can make contributions to Hong Kong and the country with their knowledge and skills. 

Through the newly launched Extended Study Programme in the GBA (ESP), HKBU will send students to the Beijing Normal University-Hong Kong Baptist University United International College for academic studies annually. Students will also complete internships and various experiential learning activities in the GBA.
