Ms. Alice Woo and Ms. Vicky Sung, Chair and Committee Member respectively of the Vincent and Lily Woo Foundation, visited the University on 7 June 2023 and exchanged views with HKBU representatives.

Dr. Cheung King Ho, Vincent V.C. Woo Endowed Associate Professor in Chinese Medicine and Associate Professor of the School of Chinese Medicine (SCM) at HKBU, shared with Ms. Woo his research work and the latest developments of the clinical applications of traditional Chinese medicine at SCM. The guests were also warmly received by HKBU representatives including Professor Lo Kwai Cheung, Head of the Department of Humanities and Creative Writing; Mrs. Lily Chan, Director of University Advancement and Secretary-General of the HKBU Foundation; and Mr. Samuel Tam, Assistant Manager (Facilities and Campus Management) of Estates Office.

Founded by Ms. Alice Woo, the Vincent and Lily Woo Foundation generously supported a variety of initiatives of HKBU since 2008. These included the establishment of the Vincent V.C. Woo Chinese Medicine Clinical Research Institute and the Vincent V.C. Woo Endowed Associate Professorship in Chinese Medicine, as well as a collaborative research project conducted by SCM and Cornell University on enhancing cancer therapeutic efficacy of Chinese medicine.
