The University recently received a generous donation of HK$250,000 from Ms. Liza Wang Chi Fu, designated for the establishment of an endowment fund in support of the “Triumpho Outstanding Student Scholarship”. Starting from the academic year 2023-24, a grant of HK$10,000 will be awarded annually to a full-time undergraduate student who has demonstrated outstanding academic performance and active participation in extra-curricular activities or community services.

Ms. Wang named the scholarship after her mother, whose Chinese name means “triumpho” (triumph in Latin). Through the donation, she hopes to support the University in nurturing talents. She wishes that every HKBU student will bear in mind the values of "Faith and Perseverance” and give back to society when they achieve triumphant success in the future.
