Supported by The Hung Hing Ying and Leung Hau Ling Charitable Foundation (the Foundation), Honorary Permanent President of the HKBU Foundation, the prize presentation of the fourth Hung Leung Hau Ling Young Writer Award was held on 28 October 2023. Guests and HKBU representatives attending the event included Ms. Belinda Hung, Co-Founder and Director of the Foundation; Dr. Hung Chi Kum, Dr. Lo Kwai Cheung and Mr. Hui Tik Cheung, judges of the Award; Professor Stuart Christie, Executive Associate Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Dr. Cissy Li, Head of the Language Centre.

The Hung Leung Hau Ling Young Writer Award was established by the University's Hong Kong Literature Promotion Platform to encourage young writers in Hong Kong to pursue creative writing. This year’s award went to Ms. Wong Yin Tung.
