The HKBU Jao Tsung-I Academy of Sinology (JAS) held a lecture entitled “Absolute Eternal Truth” on 2 November 2023. Mr. Yoji Sato, Chairman of the Eurasia Foundation (from Asia), was invited as the guest speaker to present the philosophical concepts of truth, the self, life and religion. Ms. Pau Chun Ping, wife of Mr. Fung Sun Kwan, Honorary Permanent President of the HKBU Foundation, joined the lecture.

Sponsored by the Eurasia Foundation, the JAS organised three lecture series entitled “Early Encounters between Europe and Asia” in November. Two more eminent figures from the Government and the business sector, including Professor Chung Joon Hun, Senior Researcher of the Eurasia Foundation; and Professor Yoo Il Ho of Yonsei University, who is also the former Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Strategy and Finance of South Korea, were invited to share their insights on the cultural perspective, philosophical spirit and historical aspects of the interactions between Europe and Asia.
