The Shun Hing Group hosted a cocktail reception to celebrate its 70th Anniversary at Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong on 10 November 2023. The ceremony was officiated by Mr. Chan Kwok Ki, GBS, IDSM, JP, Chief Secretary for Administration of the HKSAR; Mr. Kenichi Okada, Consul General of Japan in Hong Kong; and Mr. Yuki Kusumi, Group Chief Executive Officer of the Panasonic Holdings Corporation; Dr. David Mong, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Shun Hing Group; and Ms. Cynthia Mong, Executive Director of Shun Hing Electronic Trading Co., Ltd. The event was well attended by over 700 distinguished guests, including a number of HKBU Foundation members and supporters of the University. They included Dr. the Hon. Bernard Chan, GBM, GBS, JP; Dr. Philip Chen, GBS, JP; Professor Simon Ho and Professor Herman Hu, GBS, JP. Professor Martin Wong, Provost, and Mrs. Lily Chan, Director of University Advancement and Secretary-General of the HKBU Foundation, attended the event on behalf of the University.

The Shun Hing Group has been a long-standing and staunch supporter of HKBU. Over the years, Shun Hing Education and Charity Fund Limited, Honorary Permanent President of the HKBU Foundation, has made generous contributions in support of a variety of initiatives of the University, including campus development, scholarships and sponsorships for HKBU Golf Day.
