HKBU recently received a generous donation of HK$600,000 from the HKBU Century Club (Century Club) in support of the “Extended Study Programme in Greater Bay Area”, Chinese medicine research and the Chaplain’s Office Campus Ministry. The fund was raised by Century Club through the charity drama performance “Border Town” which was staged earlier.

In recognition of the Century Club’s beneficence, a cheque presentation ceremony was held on 11 December 2023. Officiating at the ceremony were Dr. Marianna Tsang, MH, President of the Century Club, and Ms. Christine Chow, Vice-President (Administration) and Secretary of HKBU. Mr. Ip Ka Po, Vice-President of the Century Club; Professor Nagar Lai, Mr. Tyrone Siu, Mr. Kent Tsui; Mr. Wong Nga Chung and Mr. Kelvin Wu, Members of the HKBU Foundation; as well as Mrs. Lily Chan, Director of the University Advancement Office and Secretary-General of the HKBU Foundation, were also present to witness the ceremony.

Established in 1976, Century Club is a distinctive HKBU alumni organisation with the mission of rendering continuous contribution to supporting the University’s ongoing development and its excellent pursuit in higher education and whole person development.
