The Federation of Hong Kong Chiu Chow Community Organizations held a cocktail reception in celebration of the Chinese New Year on 22 February 2024. The reception was officiated by Mr. He Jing, Deputy Director of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the HKSAR; Mr. Michael Wong, GBS, JP, Deputy Financial Secretary of the HKSAR; The Hon. Mrs. Regina Ip, GBM, GBS, JP, Convenor of the Executive Council of the HKSAR. They were joined by Dr. the Hon. Bunny Chan, GBM, GBS, JP, Chairman of the Federation; Dr. the Hon. Peter Lam, GBM, GBS, President of the Supervisory Board of the Federation as well as Federation members and guests at the celebratory event.

A number of HKBU Foundation members, including Ms. Chan Oi Ching, SBS, JP; Ms. Leonie Ki, GBS, SBS, JP; Mr. Lam Fung Lam, MH; Dr. Ma Kai Yum; Dr. Dennis Ng, SBS, MH; and Mr. William Xie, joined the event at the invitation of the Federation, which brought together over 300 guests. Mrs. Lily Chan, Director of University Advancement and Secretary-General of the HKBU Foundation, attended the event on behalf of the University.
