Professor Alex Wai, JP, President and Vice-Chancellor of HKBU, and Ms. Winnie Tam Wan Chi, SBS, JP, Honorary University Fellow of HKBU and Senior Counsel; were reappointed as members of the Independent Commission on Remuneration for Members of the Executive Council and the Legislature, and Officials under the Political Appointment System of the HKSAR for three years with effect from 1 April 2024. Other members of the Independent Commission include Mr. Philip Tsai, BBS, JP, Deputy Chairman of the Alumni Committee of the HKBU Foundation.
