Two HKBU Foundation members were conferred fellowship by the Beijing Normal University-Hong Kong Baptist University United International College (BNU-HKBU UIC) on 20 June 2024, in recognition of their outstanding contributions to the advancement of education, technology, business and art.

Mr. Franco Cutrupia, former Chairman of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in China and Honorary Permanent President of the HKBU Foundation, is a staunch supporter of HKBU, who made generous donations towards the University in support of a variety of scholarships and charity projects, including the Mr. and Mrs. Franco Cutrupia Mainland Students Scholarship, Scheme of Chinese Medicine Treatment for Low-Income Seniors, Advanced Clinical Training for Chinese Medicine Graduates, as well as setting up an endowment fund to provide scholarships for BNU-HKBU UIC students. 

Professor Ng Ching Fai, GBS, former President and Vice-Chancellor of HKBU, Founding President of BNU-HKBU UIC and Senior Member of the Foundation, is a visionary educator who made significant contributions to the development of higher education in Hong Kong. Under his leadership, HKBU launched various groundbreaking projects including the establishment of UIC, which had seen rapid development and expansion.
