Three members of the HKBU Foundation were appointed by the HKSAR Government respectively as Members of the Commission on Poverty (CoP) and its Task Force, Community Care Fund (CCF) as well as Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Fund (SIE) with effect from 1 July 2024 to 30 June 2026.

Mr. James T.S. Li, Chief Executive of the Tencent Foundation, was re-appointed as Non-official Member of CoP and Member of CCF and SIE. The Tencent Charity Foundation is an Honorary Permanent President of the HKBU Foundation.

Mrs. Mary T.M. Suen, MH, Honorary Permanent President of the HKBU Foundation and Director of the SML Group, was newly appointed as Non-official Member of CoP and Member of the CCF.

Mr. Kevin G. Orr, Member of the Young Entrepreneur Committee of the HKBU Foundation, Group Vice President and Chief Investment Officer of the Winner Medical Group, was appointed as Chairperson of the SIE Fund.
