Officiating at the ceremony were Mr. David Day and Ms. Alison Li, Chief Executive and Executive Officer respectively of the Tin Ka Ping Foundation; Dr. Albert Chau, Vice-President (Teaching and Learning) of HKBU; and Dr. Theresa Kwong, Director of CHTL. Around 40 participants, including teachers and students from the participating secondary schools in Mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau, joined the occasion.

The eTournament has been held for three consecutive years. It aims to raise students’ awareness of the United Nations SDGs and to strengthen their ability to work online with peers as a team to complete specific tasks. This year’s event attracted the enthusiastic participation of 245 students from 24 secondary schools in the Greater China region, and a total of 11 awards were presented to outstanding teams and students.

Before the ceremony, participants toured the HKBU campus and viewed a video from the Tin Ka Ping Foundation. This tour enabled them to experience the University’s humanistic ambience and advanced facilities, as well as to make friends with people from varied cultural backgrounds.
