The University recently received a generous donation of HK$500,000 from alumnus Mr. Tsang Hon Ming to set up an endowment fund for the establishment of the “Department of Chinese Language and Literature Alumnus Scholarship”. Starting from the academic year 2024-25, scholarships of HK$10,000 each will be awarded to two Year 2 or above undergraduate students who have demonstrated outstanding performance at the Department of Chinese Language and Literature. 

Mr. Tsang, Director of Wah Lam Building Materials Limited, has been an ardent benefactor of various scholarship schemes at HKBU, supporting needy students over the past two decades.
