Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) recently received a further generous donation of HK$300,000 from Tin Ka Ping Foundation (the Foundation) in support of various existing programmes. These include the Mainland China Visiting Scholars Programme and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals eTournament (Greater China Region), which aim to enhance exchange and collaboration between HKBU and institutions on the Mainland, and broaden students’ horizons.

Founded by the late Dr. the Hon. Tin Ka Ping, GBM, MBE, in 1982, the Foundation has long been committed to supporting education endeavours in Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macau, with a mission to improve the quality of education for the benefit of the Nation. Since 1997, the Foundation has made substantial contributions to the University for a variety of academic and cultural projects. In recent years, it has further bolstered its support for the launch of innovative service-learning courses and the Character and Ethics Development Scheme for Students at HKBU, collaboratively nurturing a generation of future leaders with a strong sense of social responsibility.
