Thanks to the continued support from GCL Technology Holdings Limited and Jiangsu Hong Kong Cultural Association Limited, the HKBU Jiangsu Summer Internship Programme (Nanjing) 2024 (the Programme) has successfully concluded. A number of students were sponsored to undertake eight-week internships and visits to various organisations in Nanjing.

A cheque presentation ceremony cum student sharing session was held at HKBU on 3 October 2024. The event was presided over by Mr. Charles Yeung, Director and Chief Financial Officer of GCL Technology Holdings Limited; Professor Bernard Wu, Honorary Court Member of HKBU and representative of Jiangsu Hong Kong Cultural Association Limited; Mr. Eric Sun, Chairman of Suzhou Kowloon Hospital; Mrs. Lily Chan, Director of University Advancement and Secretary-General of the HKBU Foundation; Dr. Rosa Tang, Deputy Director of Student Affairs; and Ms. Denise Chu, Head of the Career Centre of the Office of Student Affairs.

The Programme was jointly organised by the HKBU School of Business Alumni Association, the Career Centre of the Office of Student Affairs and the Office of International Cooperation and Exchanges (Office of Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao Affairs) at Nanjing University. It was co-organised by the Jiangsu MBA Entrepreneurs Association and Jiangsu Hong Kong Cultural Association Limited, with support from the Jiangsu Chinese Overseas Friendship Association. Benefitted students remarked that the programme had offered them the opportunity to gain first-hand insight into the Mainland’s work culture, accumulate valuable experience and forge connections that would greatly aid their future career planning.
