Professor David Lee Ka Yan, BBS, MH, CStJ, JP, Director of the HKBU Foundation and Honorary Court Member of the University, was presented with the Hong Kong Cultural and Creative Industries Award 2024 by the Asia Pacific Creativity Industries Association on 16 October 2024. This Award recognises individuals and enterprises for their outstanding contributions to the cultural, creative, industrial and other professional fields, aiming to foster a more vibrant cultural and creative landscape in Hong Kong and the Asia-Pacific region.

Professor Lee is a renowned paediatrician known for promoting public health knowledge through his children’s music. With a strong commitment to education and community service, he has made generous donations to support HKBU’s Chinese medicine clinical research and has held key positions at a number of social service organisations.
