Mr. Philip Tsai Wing Chung, BBS, JP, Deputy Chairman of the Alumni Committee of the HKBU Foundation and former Chairman of Deloitte China, has been re-appointed by the HKSAR Government as Chairperson of the Hong Kong Genome Institute, with his tenure ending on 26 July 2026.

Prior to this, Mr. Tsai was invited to serve as an Expert Advisor to the Government’s newly established Task Group on the New Medical School, which is responsible for devising the direction and parameters for Hong Kong’s third medical school.
