Lions & HKBU Chinese Medicine Charity Foundation receives donations to support subsidised Chinese Medicine service for the elderly

The 23rd Meeting of the Board of Directors of the Lions & Hong Kong Baptist University Chinese Medicine Charity Foundation (CMCF) took place on 29 October 2024. During the meeting, it was announced that CMCF had received several donations totalling over HK$1.1 million. Those contributions included HK$700,000 from Ms. Leung Tak Kwan, Director of CMCF; around HK$210,000 from the Lions Clubs International District 303 - Hong Kong & Macao, China; and HK$100,000 from H.H. Lam & Co. CPA Limited. Additionally, Ms. Teresa Mann, Director of CMCF, contributed HK$100,000 to support the launch of CMCF’s Charity Fundraising Ambassador Initiative.

Following the meeting, a cheque presentation ceremony was held in honour of the donors’ generosity. Their support ensures that CMCF can continue to serve underprivileged elderly individuals by providing access to affordable and quality Chinese medicine and healthcare services.

Guests attending the ceremony included the four donors and representatives of the donor organisations. They were Mr. Shum Ngan, District Governor of the Lions Clubs International District 303 - Hong Kong & Macao, China; Dr. Andrew Lam Hoi Ham, JP, Founder and Managing Director of H.H. Lam & Co. CPA Limited; Ms. Leung Tak Kwan; and Ms. Teresa Mann. Mr. Paulman Tse, Director of CMCF; was also present, along with HKBU representatives: Ms. Christine Chow, Vice-President (Administration) and Secretary; Mr. Adonis Lee, Director of Finance; Professor Li Min, Executive Associate Dean of Chinese Medicine; and Mrs. Lily Chan, Director of University Advancement and Secretary-General of the HKBU Foundation.
