Dr. Chiu Chun Bong, MBE, JP, Honorary Trustee of the HKBU Foundation and Managing Director of Billabong Enterprises Co., Ltd., and Mrs. Luna Chiu hosted a dinner for Professor Alex Wai, JP, President and Vice-Chancellor, and Mrs. Sheila Wai at their villa, Luna House, on 9 December 2024.

The dinner was also attended by Dr. and Mrs. Chiu’s daughter Mrs. Rosemary Yam and son-in-law Professor Frank Yam; their son Mr. Malcolm Chiu and daughter-in-law Mrs. England Chiu; as well as HKBU representatives, including Professor Lyu Aiping, Vice-President (Research and Development) cum Dean of Graduate School and Acting Dean of Chinese Medicine; Dr. Albert Chau, Vice-President (Teaching and Learning); and Mrs. Lily Chan, Director of University Advancement and Secretary-General of the HKBU Foundation. President Wai thanked Dr. Chiu and his family for their unfailing support towards the University over the past six decades. They shared views on the University’s development and had a fruitful exchange of ideas.
