Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) Century Club held its Annual General Meeting 2024 cum dinner gathering on 6 January 2025. In celebration of the 30th anniversary of the University’s renaming in 2024, the event was graced by a number of distinguished guests, including Presidents Emeritus of HKBU, Dr. Daniel Tse, GBS, CBE, OBE, JP and his wife Mrs. Kitty Tse, Professor Ng Ching Fai, GBS, and Professor Roland Chin, BBS, JP; as well as Chief Officer Ms. Iris Wong, MH and Project Officer Mr. Lawrence Fung of the Hong Kong Coalition.

HKBU representatives in attendance included Ir Professor Paul Poon, MH, Deputy Chairman of the Council and the Court; Mr. Kevin Liem, Treasurer of the Council and the Court; Ms. Rosanna Choi, MH, Honorary Court member; Professor Alex Wai, JP, President and Vice-Chancellor; Ms. Christine Chow, Vice-President (Administration) and Secretary; Mrs. Lily Chan, Director of University Advancement and Secretary-General of the HKBU Foundation; Dr. Melanie Lee, Director of Alumni Affairs; and Rev. Tse Hung, former Chaplain.

During the Annual General Meeting, Dr. Marianna Tsang, MH, President of HKBU Century Club, reported on the Club’s activities and achievements in the past year. She expressed her gratitude to the alumni for their generous support towards the ongoing development of their alma mater. It was also announced that Vice-President Ms. Esther Wong would succeed Dr. Tsang as the Club’s new President.
