Dr. Clement Chen, GBS, JP, former Chairman of the Council and the Court of HKBU and Managing Director of Tai Hing Cotton Mill Limited, was re-appointed by the HKSAR Government as Non-Executive Director of the Insurance Authority for a term of two years. Concurrently, Ir Dr. Derrick Pang, JP, Deputy Chairman of Chun Wo Development Holdings Limited, was re-appointed as Non-Executive Director of the Authority for a term of three years. Chun Wo Development Holdings Limited is currently Director of the HKBU Foundation. Both appointments took effect from 18 December 2024. 

Additionally, Dr. Chen was re-appointed by the Chief Executive as Chairman of the Standing Committee on Judicial Salaries and Conditions of Service (Judicial Committee) for a term of two years, with effect from 1 January 2025.
