Professor Justin Chiu says HKBU Foundation builds a community to support University’s mission
2024 marks a significant milestone as the HKBU Foundation celebrates its 15th anniversary. Since its inception, the Foundation has served as a cornerstone of the University’s advancement, opening up numerous opportunities for both students and faculty. On this remarkable occasion, we are delighted to launch a series of exclusive interviews with our members, giving you a deeper understanding of the Foundation’s work and the impact of donations.
The 12th episode of the series features Professor Justin Chiu, Vice-Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Foundation. He highlights HKBU’s pioneering role as the first higher education institution in Hong Kong to advocate the education concept of Whole Person development. In addition to providing a quality learning environment, HKBU emphasises character and ethical development among students, with the goal of nurturing new generations who are keen to serve the community and possess leadership qualities and an international outlook.
