2024 marks a significant milestone as the HKBU Foundation celebrates its 15th anniversary. Since its inception, the Foundation has served as a cornerstone of the University’s advancement, opening up numerous opportunities for both students and faculty. On this remarkable occasion, we are delighted to launch a series of exclusive interviews with our members, giving you a deeper understanding of the Foundation’s work and the impact of donations.

In this episode, Mr. Kevin Liem, Treasurer of the Foundation and the University’s Council and Court, remarks that every single dollar raised by the Foundation is treasured by firmly upholding the principle of prudent financial management. The funds will be deployed according to each donor’s specific area of focus.

He says, “We are blessed to have a highly dedicated community of philanthropists and organisations that make contributions to the University with their donations supporting a series of major projects. For example, the Jockey Club Campus of Creativity, our art-tech initiatives, plus a host of academic exchanges and service-learning experience programmes.”
