The HKBU Foundation records with deepest sorrow the passing of Mrs. Nora Yeung Lau Yuk Ling, donor of the University, on 14 February 2025. She was 101 years old.

Mrs. Yeung was a remarkable accounting professional, holding a fellowship with the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She was also recognised with a medal from Certified Practising Accountant Australia in honour of her 50 years of membership.

A passionate advocate for education, Mrs. Yeung rendered generous support for the advancement of HKBU over the years. Her deep connection with HKBU began with her late husband, Dr. Winston Yeung, who first donated to the University in 1972 and sustained his support for campus development for nearly three decades. This spirit of giving is carried forward by their children, Dr. Eric Yeung Tsun Man, former Deputy Chairman of HKBU’s Council and Court , and Mrs. Stella Lu Yeung Tsun Ting, both of whom are long-standing supporters of the University.

The Foundation conveys its heartfelt condolences to Mrs. Yeung’s family at this time of bereavement. She will always be remembered for her invaluable contributions to the University.
