HKBU receives continued support from Tan Siu Lin Foundation for free Chinese medicine consultation days

Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) recently received another generous donation of HK$1 million from the Tan Siu Lin Foundation to bolster the “Tan Siu Lin Foundation Perpetual Fund for Free Chinese Medicine Consultation Day”. This Fund supports the School of Chinese Medicine (SCM) in organising free consultation days on a regular basis, subsidising Chinese medicine expenses for those in need. Since 2016, the Foundation has made multiple donations to SCM to sustain this initiative and advance the field of Chinese medicine, contributing a cumulative total of HK$9 million.
For the first half of 2025, SCM has scheduled free Chinese medicine consultation days for low-income individuals every Sunday at its Lui Seng Chun clinic. Eligible individuals will receive free consultation and medication services. For details, please click here (Chinese version only).
The Tan Siu Lin Foundation was established by Dr. Tan Siu Lin, GBS, Founder and Chairman of Luen Thai Group. Over the years, the Foundation has been a staunch supporter of the University’s development across various areas, particularly in funding SCM’s teaching, research and community care initiatives, as well as backing the Department of History’s research related to Dr. Sun Yat-sen. The Foundation is recognised as Honorary Permanent President of the HKBU Foundation.
