The Chaplain’s Office of Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) held the 69th Anniversary Founders’ Day Thanksgiving Service on 5 March 2025 at the University Chapel to commemorate HKBU’s founding. Rev. Dr. Philip Chan, Senior Pastor of Hong Kong Baptist Church and President of Hong Kong Hymn Society, delivered a thanksgiving message on the theme “Love One Another”, a fundamental principle of Christianity. In a pre-recorded video address, Professor Alex Wai, JP, President and Vice-Chancellor of HKBU, thanked Rev. Dr. Philip Chan for sharing his spiritual insights. He stated that the University, guided by the vision of its founding fathers, remains committed to nurturing students into responsible, resilient and globally minded individuals with a sense of compassion. Dr. Eddie Ho, Court member of HKBU and Director of the HKBU Foundation, presented a Bible reading as part of the service.
