The Lions and Hong Kong Baptist University Chinese Medicine Charity Foundation (CMCF) received a generous donation of HK$250,000 from The Maryknoll Medical and Welfare Association Limited (MMWA) to support its subsidised Chinese Medicine service for the elderly.

A delegation from MMWA, led by Ms. Jennifer Cheung, Chairperson of the Executive Committee, and Ms. Ivy Lam, Honorary Treasurer, visited the School of Chinese Medicine at HKBU on 28 February 2025. They were warmly received by Dr. Lam Hoi Ham, JP, Vice-Chairman of CMCF; Mr. Paulman Tse, Director of CMCF; as well as HKBU representatives who also serve on the CMCF Board, including Professor Li Min, Executive Associate Dean of Chinese Medicine; Professor Sun Feng, Director and Professor of Practice at the Clinical Division of the School; and Mrs. Lily Chan, Director of University Advancement and Secretary-General of the HKBU Foundation.

The delegation was given a guided tour of the Dr. & Mrs. Hung Hin Shiu Museum of Chinese Medicine and the Mr. & Mrs. Chan Hon Yin Chinese Medicine Specialty Clinic and Good Clinical Practice Centre on campus. This visit facilitated a valuable exchange of ideas on promoting CMCF’s Privilege Scheme of Chinese Medicine Service for Elderly and organising health seminars for the community.

At the CMCF Annual General Meeting in March, Dr. Lam Hoi Ham (7th from left) presents the donation cheque from MMWA to Ms. Christine Chow (6th from left), Vice-President (Administration) and Secretary of HKBU and Chairman of CMCF
