Mr. Philip Tsai Wing Chung, BBS, JP, Deputy Chairman of the Alumni Committee of the HKBU Foundation and former Chairman of Deloitte China, has been re-appointed by the HKSAR Government as a member of the Independent Commission on Remuneration for Members of the Executive Council and the Legislature, and Officials under the Political Appointment System of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. This renewed appointment will take effect from 1 April 2025 for a term of one year.

Other members of the Independent Commission include Professor Alex Wai, JP, President and Vice-Chancellor of HKBU, and Ms. Winnie Tam Wan Chi, SBS, JP, Honorary University Fellow of HKBU and Senior Counsel.
