The Young Entrepreneur Committee (YEC) 2024-2026 of the HKBU Foundation convened its second meeting in hybrid mode on 6 May 2025 to discuss strategies for extending the University’s social network.

At the meeting, Dr. Chloe Suen, Co-Chairman of the YEC, welcomed a newly joined member, Mrs. Candy Ho, Assistant General Manager of Elegance Optical Mfy., Ltd. Professor Alex Wai, JP, President and Vice-Chancellor, shared with members the recent achievements and new initiatives of the University, including its bid for the establishment of a new medical school, the preparatory work for the “Frontier Translational Medical Research Institute”, and a series of celebration activities planned for the University’s 70th Anniversary. 

The convenors and representatives of the “Entrepreneurship, Internships, Mentorship”, “Experiential Learning”, and “Scholarships” Special Task Forces presented their work progress. Mrs. Lily Chan, Director of University Advancement and Secretary-General of the HKBU Foundation, also briefed the Committee about the Foundation’s recent endeavours and highlighted major University engagement activities.
