The Academy of Visual Arts (AVA) at Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) held its 18th AVA Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Visual Arts Graduation Show from 31 May to 22 June 2025 at the Kai Tak Campus. With the generous support of HKBU Foundation members and partners, the exhibition showcased the creativity and talent of over 130 AVA graduates through a diverse array of works, encompassing paintings, sculptures, mixed media and installation arts.

The opening ceremony, held on 30 May, was attended by HKBU staff, students, and esteemed guests. During the ceremony, Professor Andreas Kratky, Director of AVA; Professor Tom O’Dea, Programme Director of B.A. (Hons) in Visual Arts; and Professor Ekkehard Altenburger, Assistant Professor for Sculpture, together with sponsors, presented awards to graduates in recognition of their exceptional performance.

The exhibition was sponsored by various benefactors, including HKBU Foundation members such as Muses Foundation for Culture and Education Limited and Professor Raymond Fung Wing Kee, JP, Museum Expert Adviser (Hong Kong Art) for the Leisure and Cultural Services Department.

As part of the celebration, AVA graduating students hosted the annual “AVA Fest” on 14 June, offering screen-printing and cyanotype workshops, art and game stalls, and DJ live performances. This vibrant event provided a meaningful platform for young artists to engage with the public, fostering a deeper integration between art and community.
