The Board of Governors 2024-2026 (the Board) of the HKBU Foundation held its third meeting in hybrid mode on 27 June 2025. The meeting was presided over by Dr. the Hon. Kennedy Wong, BBS, JP, Chairman of the University’s Council and Court and Chairman of the Board.
During the meeting, Professor Alex Wai, JP, President and Vice-Chancellor, briefed members on the University’s recent achievements and latest developments. These included the University’s notable rise in influential global university rankings, ongoing efforts to advance the bid for a new medical school, and plans for the 70th Anniversary celebrations.
The Board also received reports on the Foundation's financial standing and work progress, and reviewed its fundraising strategies and priorities.
