Representatives of United Board for Christian Higher Education in Asia visit HKBU
A delegation from the United Board for Christian Higher Education in Asia (United Board), led by Ms. Trudy Loo, Assistant Vice President of Development, visited Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) on 28 October 2026. The delegation met with Mrs. Lily Chan, Director of University Advancement and Secretary-General of the HKBU Foundation (the Foundation), to learn about the Foundation’s operations and the University’s latest developments.
During the meeting, both parties held in-depth discussions on opportunities for fundraising collaboration, including how the United Board accepts gifts from alumni and friends of partnering institutions in support of approved projects and programmes, thereby facilitating tax-deductible donations from the United States. They also discussed the use of the United Board’s donations to HKBU and the long-term development of future supported initiatives through the established UB-HKBU Fund.
A steadfast partner of HKBU since 1972, the United Board has made generous donations towards a wide array of University initiatives. These cover projects related to whole-person development, research, academic conferences and campus ministries. This enduring support enables the University to uphold its Christian values and nurture students to become compassionate and socially responsible young leaders.
The United Board’s delegation, comprising Ms. Trudy Loo (3rd from right), Assistant Vice-President of Development; Ms. Rachel Zhang (2nd from right), Associate Director of Strategy and Operations; and Ms. Jane Chan (1st from right), Program Manager, engages in a cordial exchange with representatives of HKBU’s University Advancement Office
