Hong Kong Chiu Chow Chamber of Commerce, Honorary Vice-President of the HKBU Foundation, hosted the “Celebratory Party for the 66th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China” at JW Marriott Hotel on 21 September 2015. The event was well attended by around 1,000 guests. Officiating guests included The Hon. Mrs. Carrie Lam, GBS, Chief Secretary for Administration; Mr. Lin Wu, Deputy Director of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the HKSAR; Mr. Lau Kong Wah, JP, Secretary for Home Affairs; Dr. Robin Y.H. Chan, GBS, JP, Vice Chairman of the All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese and Honorary President of the HKBU Foundation, and others. Mrs. Lily Chan, Director of University Advancement, attended the party on behalf of the University.
