The HKBU Foundation records with deepest sorrow the passing of Mr. Hung Hin Lui, Founder of Chi Tao Charitable Foundation Limited, Honorary Permanent President of the HKBU Foundation, on 1 October 2015.

Mr. Hung was a highly respected philanthropist devoted to the development of education in Hong Kong and Mainland China through his invaluable contribution to the work of the Chi Tao Charitable Foundation. Since 2004, Mr. Hung made generous donations in support of various endeavours of the University, including the HKBU Development Fund, the School of Chinese Medicine Development Fund, the Jao Tsung-I Academy of Sinology Development Fund, the Hung Heung Lam Memorial Scholarship, the Albert and Mabel Chan Exchange Scholarship, etc.

The HKBU Foundation conveys its heartfelt condolences to the Hung family at this time of bereavement. He will always be remembered for his zealous support for the University's development.
